Oroville, California

Located in the North Central part of California, Oroville is a little-known gem not far from Chico. Surrounded by breathtaking lakes, rolling green hills, the Sacramento and Feather rivers, and vast outdoor recreational areas, the Northwest Lineman College campus is conveniently placed in an outdoorsmen paradise. With ample opportunities for fishing, boating, mountain biking, and hiking, there is more than enough adventure to go around. Shops and restaurants line the streets of Chico’s quaint downtown and though it has a small town feel, it is well equipped with the modern conveniences of a small city. Home to Chico State University, the Chico area offers a robust nightlife and a great college-town atmosphere, as well as Bidwell Park, which is boasted as being one of the largest municipal parks in the United States. For those who like to explore, San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, the Pacific Ocean, and the Sierra Nevada mountains are all just about a 3-hour drive away. However, with all that Butte County has to offer, there’s no need to go looking elsewhere for a good time.
